The Slim Shady EP is the second official release by Eminem as well as his first EP, released in late 1997. In this album he introduces his alter ego Slim Shady. The album cover shows Slim Shady whom Eminem apparently killed in the past. Wakes up Eminem and orders him to look into the mirror and see that he is nothing without slim. Eminem screams no and breaks the mirror as Slim Shady laughs at his horror.

This EP received a very limited release, with only around 4,000 copies sold independently. Unlike Infinite, this album gained him much more attention and he was noticed by Interscope's Jimmy Iovine and eventually Dr. Dre.

Trivia[]

"Just the Two of Us" was renamed "'97 Bonnie & Clyde" for Eminem's 1999 The Slim Shady LP.
