Ronald Dean "Ronnie" Polkingharn Jr. (July 27, 1972 - December 14, 1991), also known as Uncle Ronnie, was Eminem's uncle. He died by suicide in December 1991, which had a profound impact on Em; the rapper recalled how he didn't speak for days and "couldn't even go to the funeral."[1]
Biography[]
Polkingharn was born on July 27, 1972, in St. Joseph, Missouri, to Ronald Dewey Polkingharn and Betty Joy (Hixson) Kresin. He was only two months older than Em, and acted as a brother figure and best friend. He was credited to introducing Eminem to hip hop, where they recorded tapes together.
