Eminem Wiki

Bad Meets Evil is an American hip hop duo comprising the two Detroit-based rappers Royce da 5'9" ("Bad") and Eminem ("Evil"). Although the duo split up in the early 2000s, they have since reunited to release their project Hell: The Sequel (2011).[1]

Biography[]

The two met at a night club and have since been close friends. Their name was conceived from the song of the same name from The Slim Shady LP (1999), which features Royce.

The duo broke up after a feud between Royce and the members of Eminem's group D12. It ended when Proof and a mutually close affiliate of both rappers was killed in April 2006. After Royce's supergroup Slaughterhouse signed to Em's Shady Records, Bad Meets Evil reunited with Hell: The Sequel (2011), which debuted atop the U.S. Billboard 200 and was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

Trivia[]

  • Although Eminem is known to be the more prolific rapper, he often had to re-write his verses after hearing Royce's, during the making of Hell: The Sequel, because he felt that his verses weren't as good.
